ASUS TUF Gaming drops a limited-edition Radeon RX 9070 XT built for Black Ops veterans

If you’ve been holding out for a GPU upgrade worthy of your killstreaks, ASUS just dropped a collector’s dream: the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Special Edition, built in collaboration with AMD and Activision.

First teased at Call of Duty NEXT in Las Vegas, this limited-edition card wears the Chimera insignia and orange highlights that scream Black Ops. Only 1,000 units will be available globally, bundled with a digital copy of the standard PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Under the hood: RDNA 4 and AI-powered upgrades

At its core, this beast runs on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, paired with 16GB of VRAM and AMD Software featuring the all-new ML-Powered FSR 4 upscaling technology.

That means smoother frame rates, crisper visuals, and better performance in over 85+ supported games, including those upgraded from older FidelityFX Super Resolution 3.1.2 titles. You’re also getting faster ray tracing, and DisplayPort 2.1 outputs for high-refresh 4K or even 8K setups — perfect for anyone rocking ultra-wide or multi-monitor rigs.

Built like a tank (literally TUF)

ASUS brought its cooling game strong here. The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT runs a triple-fan Axial-tech setup with 11-blade fans and 0dB technology, which means whisper-quiet operation when you’re just browsing or watching streams.

A Dual BIOS switch lets you toggle between Performance and Quiet modes — no software required — while ASUS GPU Tweak III gives advanced users granular control over fan curves and clock speeds.

And because TUF hardware is known for durability, this edition replaces traditional thermal paste with a phase-change thermal pad that liquifies under heat to maximize thermal conductivity. Add an aluminum backplate, dual-ball bearings, and Auto-Extreme manufacturing, and you’ve got a card designed to last through years of heavy gaming (and rage-quitting).

    Availability

Only 1,000 units of the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Edition will ship worldwide later this year through select retailers. Keep an eye on ASUS’ official social pages for local availability updates.

    TL;DR:

    • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (RDNA 4)
    • VRAM: 16GB
    • Tech: ML-Powered FSR 4, DisplayPort 2.1
    • Cooling: Triple Axial-tech fans + phase-change thermal pad
    • Extras: Dual BIOS switch, metal exoskeleton, GPU Tweak III
    • Bonus: Free Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 PC copy
    • Availability: 1,000 units worldwide
