AKASO 360 brings 360° filmmaking within everyone’s reach

Last October 15, 2025, Hatch + Hoolman Studios in Manila hosted the official Philippine launch of the AKASO 360, marking the country’s first experience with AKASO’s full 360° action camera.

The event highlighted the company’s collaboration with Siklab Spark Corporation as its exclusive distributor in the Philippines, cementing AKASO’s commitment to making high-quality, affordable action cameras accessible to Filipino adventurers, hobbyists, and content creators.

Since 2010, AKASO has grown into a global leader in action cameras, selling over seven million units in more than 200 countries. Known for its balance of performance, quality, and affordability, the brand has built a loyal following of creators who want to capture life’s moments in a fun, effortless way. Guided by the philosophy “Let Life Run,” AKASO designs products for everyday creators, not just extreme sports enthusiasts, encouraging users to explore new ways of storytelling.

    Your first 360 action camera

True to its tagline, “Your First 360 Action Cam,” the AKASO 360 is designed to be intuitive for beginners while offering features advanced users will appreciate. The Creator Combo kit, priced around P15,000 to P16,000 depending on the platform, includes everything needed to start your 360° journey: mounts, accessories, and software that make it easy to capture, edit, and share immersive videos and photos.

From the moment I unboxed the AKASO 360, I was impressed by its simplicity. No manual was required — insert the memory card, charge the battery, press record. The camera felt immediately approachable. The more complex task, however, was learning how to use and edit 360 footage. As someone who produces videos professionally, I had to adjust to a new workflow. Handling 360 footage and using AKASO Studio software was unfamiliar territory. I quickly realized that mastering this tool meant learning how to plan shots, frame scenes differently, and think in all directions at once.

As Killjoy from Valorant once said, “Your weapon is just a tool. You just can’t shoot, you have to think.” The AKASO 360 embodies that philosophy perfectly. It isn’t just a device that records video — it’s a creative tool that challenges you to plan, imagine, and compose every shot from multiple perspectives. Even routine filming tasks suddenly felt dynamic, and ordinary scenes became rich with storytelling potential.

Tech review: Simple, powerful, and inspiring

Technically, the AKASO 360 packs a punch. It shoots up to 5.7K video, captures 72MP 360° photos, and records clear audio through stereo microphones with built-in wind-noise reduction. Built-in stabilization, horizon leveling, and AI subject tracking ensure smooth, focused footage in almost any scenario. For beginners, these features make shooting less intimidating, while professionals can push creative boundaries without compromise.

Editing and sharing is seamless through the AKASO360 App and Studio software. While exporting 360 footage into a standard editing suite took some getting used to, the process encouraged experimentation. Filming from helmets, tripods, or even unconventional setups, I discovered angles and perspectives I had never considered before. Suddenly, daily life, city walks, and casual adventures felt cinematic and immersive.

Owning a 360 camera comes with a learning curve, but that challenge is part of its appeal. You must plan where to shoot, how to shoot, and how to edit creatively. The reward is a completely fresh perspective — multiple viewpoints and dynamic footage that elevate storytelling beyond what a traditional camera can achieve. Whether it’s for capturing dailies, travel, or action, the AKASO 360 opens up endless creative possibilities.

    Launch deals and giveaway

The AKASO 360 is now officially available online on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Early adopters were treated to exclusive launch promotions and giveaways that ran until October 21, offering discounts on the AKASO 360, V50 X, and EK7000, as well as a chance to win free EK7000 units.

For Filipino creators and hobbyists, the AKASO 360 delivers both professional-grade capabilities and accessibility, making it an ideal entry point into 360° storytelling. Its combination of intuitive design, powerful features, and creative flexibility makes it a must-have for anyone looking to elevate their video production or simply capture life in a new way.
