The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said there is no verified breach affecting the infrastructure of the eGov PH platform, a government mobile app and portal that centralizes public services, following reports of alleged unauthorized access now under review by the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

The alleged breach first circulated on social media, prompting the DICT to initiate a technical assessment through its National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCERT) and the eGovPH team. The review covered system logs, access controls, network activity, and overall platform infrastructure.

The department said it continues to coordinate with the NPC to ensure timely and complete reporting, adding that there is currently no verified data breach affecting eGov PH users.

Based on the assessment, the DICT reported no confirmed breach in the core eGov PH system and no evidence of large-scale extraction of Know Your Customer (KYC) or other personal data. It added that the reported incidents were isolated and traced to third-party components, with no impact on the main platform.

The agency also found no indicators of sustained unauthorized access or systemic compromise. It said the circulating claims remain unverified and are not supported by technical validation.

To reinforce system security, the DICT said it has intensified safeguards, including 24/7 monitoring, enhanced threat detection, proactive vulnerability testing, strengthened incident response protocols, and tighter oversight of third-party systems.
