Japanese multinational tech company Fujitsu opened its first Digital Innovation Hub in Southeast Asia here in the Philippines, as part of its expansion plan in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Launched last May 2, the hub is said to give businesses and other organizations access to technology experts, latest digital trends and technologies, and solutions to their business challenges.

This is the third hub in the APAC region after it first launched in Sydney and Canberra, Australia.

Choosing the Philippines as its third hub location was driven by the increasing demand of digital transformation by local businesses in the country, according to Raul “Cricket” Santiago III, the managing director Fujitsu PH.

Furthermore, Santiago said that the workshop hub will provide their customers business and technology specialists to help them “refine” their business operations.

“This reflects Fujitsu’s commitment to innovation and our focus on becoming a trusted partner in digital experience and sustainability transformation,” he said.

However, the tech company still has no plans of putting up hubs in other regions of the country. Santiago highly recommended its customers to do an in-person visit to their hub.

The hub will have Fujitsu’s latest interactive digital tools that complement its analogue–style workshops. It will serve as a facility for “ideation, prototyping, and product-testing.”

Fujitsu’s range of services cover computing, networks, AI, data security, and converging technologies.

Currently, the company has 124,000 employees aboard to help bring its services to its customers in over 100 countries. It reported to have 3.7 trillion yen or $26 billion US dollars for the fiscal year that ended in March 31, 2024.
