Acer Academy has entered into a partnership agreement with the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) to provide learning devices for deaf students through the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS), a program dedicated to giving deaf Filipino learners access to inclusive, high-quality education.

Acer Academy donated five Acer TravelMate laptops to DLS-CSB. These devices are intended to help SDEAS students access online learning platforms, complete academic tasks and digital coursework, participate in blended learning activities, and improve their digital literacy and employability.

“Education is one of our priority segments. We always believe in the power of education.
In the Philippines, we have a program called Acer Academy. As of now, we already have more than 400 members nationwide. More than providing devices, we are committed to keeping the partnership with Benilde in terms of immersion programs and partnering with students with disabilities,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines.

“Through this partnership, we are opening pathways not only for students but also for the Benildean community. It will strengthen digital capacity, promote skill development, and support inclusion,” said Marian Patricia BEA Francisco, Dean of SDEAS, DSL CSB.

“Many think that Benilde is a school for those who have, but it’s not true. Yes, we have students like that, but many are struggling to make ends meet. We take many of our own initiatives for advancement. We look for partners like Acer, benefactors, and donors who can help us provide more education to the underprivileged and others, including persons with disabilities or those with special learning needs,” said Angelo Marco Lacson, Vice-Chancellor for Academics, DLS-CSB.

Acer Academy in the Philippines is a program designed by Acer to help schools, colleges, and universities integrate technology into learning by providing hardware, software, training, and support to create digital classrooms, enhance digital literacy, and foster innovation in education.
