Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has activated cardless QR withdrawals for GCash users across its entire ATM network nationwide, marking a significant step in expanding secure, accessible, and digitally enabled cash-out options for millions of Filipinos.

RCBC Head of Transaction Banking Group Martin Tirol said the launch of this feature reinforces the Yuchengco-led bank’s position as a leading digital innovator in the Philippine banking landscape by bridging digital platforms with on-ground banking conveniences.

“With this nationwide rollout, we’re giving millions of GCash users a faster and more convenient way to access their funds through RCBC ATMs. At the heart of this initiative is our drive to make everyday banking simpler and more accessible for Filipinos, whether through digital innovations or improved  service touchpoints,” Tirol said.

The cardless withdrawal enhancement allows fully verified GCash users to access their funds without using a physical ATM card, subject to a fee of P18.00. Customers only need to generate a Cash Out QR code within the GCash app and scan it at any RCBC ATM to complete their withdrawal.

This capability was initially introduced in select Metro Manila and Cebu ATMs as part of a phased rollout. With its full nationwide activation in December 2025, the service now supports RCBC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen digital-to-cash interoperability, making it easier for mobile wallet users to withdraw funds wherever they are in the country.

The nationwide expansion also aligns with the growing consumer preference for QR-enabled transactions, which offer a secure alternative to traditional card-based withdrawals.

To date, RCBC has one of the widest cash-access networks in the country with over 1,500 ATMs nationwide.

Currently the 5th largest bank in the country, RCBC remains a strong player in the financial services industry. Recognized as Best Cash Management Bank given by Asian Banker, its comprehensive Transaction Banking solutions – from efficient retail and corporate cash management services to robust trade and supply financing and innovative payment and remittance services, continue to strengthen the bank’s role as a trusted partner for retail and corporate clients.
